Beef Expo Ireland October 2010
The superb 22 month old homebred bull, Lataster Ivan, last years National Male Calf Champion was given the nod for Overall Saler Champion. Lataster Ivan is owned by The Halton Family, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan. This bull was no stranger to success last year as a calf. His sire Muguet also sired the renowned show cow, Ulena, Beef Expo Ireland 2008 Overall Saler Champion. Ulena was exported to Wales in February 2010. Lataster Ivan is out of a Gitan cow who also sired Lataster Hector-Beef Expo Ireland 2008 Reserve Saler Champion.
We’d like to thank Paddy Clerkin and Brendan Clarke for their excellent handling, preparing and showing of Lataster Ivan on behalf of Halton family. Without their help, time and kindness we couldn’t have attended Beef Expo Ireland 2010.
